EcoVivarium Summer Camp

EcoVivarium will be hosting a series of fun and educational summer day camps, as well as evening family camps. Reservations are still available. Camp starts June 13 in EcoVivarium’s new, soon-to-open museum, located at 136 S. Juniper St. in Escondido.

Class program

EcoVivarium provides educational experiences both in classroom and on-location. Programs are presented with assistance from their special education ambassadors of the reptile, amphibian and arthropod communities. Their animals are unique not only by their species, but by the fact that more than 98% of them are rescues. These amazing creatures have been rehabilitated and trained to serve as ambassadors.

They are offering Junior Camp for grades K though 2nd, Camp for grades 3 through 5th, and Counselor in Training (CIT) Camp for grades 6 through 12th. This summer, three camp programs are available: Reptile Explorers, Ectotherms in Art and Family Camp.

A special Family Camp is an event offered on two weeknight evenings, plus a half day Saturday, where the entire family can meet and learn about EcoVivarium’s amazing Animal Ambassadors and enjoy other fun camp activities.

Reptile Explorers: held the weeks of June 27-July 1, July 11-15, July 25-29, and August 8-12.

Ectotherms in Art: held the weeks of July 18-22, August 1-5, and August 15-19.

Family Camp: held on July 19, 21 & 23;  August 2, 4 & 6; and August 9, 11 & 13.

All camps include a camp tee shirt, plus a free Living Museum ticket for each child.
